Development

We're building a high-performer — and the bar is set high.

If you know the SUPRA, you know: it's sporty, direct, and fun. But we're not done yet. Alongside ongoing production, we're working on a high-performance parakite — a wing for pilots who want the max. More span, more glide, more speed.

The project is demanding. We're testing different profile geometries and line concepts, and every test hour on the dune brings new insights. Our goal: to have a flight-ready version by the end of fall 2026 that shows what a modern parakite can do.

Mike on that:

"A high-performer forgives no compromises. We're taking the time we need — better to test a month longer than to release a wing that doesn't deliver what it promises."

— Mike Küng

Development

Learning to parakite safely — we're working on a beginner parakite.

Parakiting isn't hard — but it requires a certain amount of skill and the right gear. Starting out on a wing that's too demanding takes the fun out of it, and above all: the safety. We want to change that.

That's why we're developing a beginner parakite alongside our other work, one we'll use to systematically introduce our course participants to the sport. More forgiving in handling, gentler in its reactions — but still a real parakite with real flight feel. Safety comes first for us.

The concept is set. Now it's about the details. Anyone attending one of our groundhandling courses might soon be among the first to hold this wing in their hands.

Event

Fall on the Wasserkuppe — two seminar weekends with Mike.

For anyone who wants to go all out this fall: in partnership with Papillon Paragliding, Mike is offering two groundhandling seminars on the Wasserkuppe — on October 3–4 and October 10–11, 2026.

Two days of intensive training, wind runs, hill soaring, direct feedback from Mike. Booking exclusively via papillon.de.

News

Why groundhandling is the most important part of flying.

Many pilots underestimate groundhandling. Yet it's exactly what separates good pilots from very good ones — not the number of flight hours, but the hours on the ground with the wing in your hands.

Whoever masters their wing blind on the ground controls it in the air. Whoever knows the force of the wind reads thermals better. And whoever has learned to stay calm when the wing breaks out is simply safer in the air.

"I tell every course participant: one hour of groundhandling teaches you more than ten hours of flying."

— Ralf Bielmeier
